General guide month by month movement of wildebeest.

January wildebeest are in Tanzania’s Serengeti, moving south from the northern region and into the southern Serengeti, Ndutu area. It is calving season. Which goes all the way to the month of march. In February and March the animal remain in southern Serengeti, Ndutu area and ngoro ngoro conservancy area. The last carving coming out and preparing on how to make the next leg.
Come April the animals start their northward journey from southern Serengeti plains to the central and western Serengeti. In May and June huge columns of up to 20 km in length can be seen as the wildebeest graze into the central and western plains of Serengeti.
